Forbes Talks – the new conference format introduced in Vietnam for the first time by Forbes Vietnam. Held on 28 July, 2016, the event presented outstanding speakers to share their stories, insights and perspectives under the theme “Brand Building.”
Despite its dynamism and fast growth rates, there’s still an absence of powerful Vietnamese brands that are known at regional ASEAN market, not mentioning the global markets. Situation in the domestic market a bit better with national brands as Vinamilk, several popular local instant noodle brands, beverages, consumer goods.
But anyway untill now the “Brand Vietnam” is a nebulous, weakly defined, and rather poorly leveraged asset.
Speaker Hoàng Thị Mai Hương, Chairwoman Tập Đoàn Publicis One Việt Nam shared in her presentation that brand story is a love story.
Philip C Zerrillo Ph. D., Practice Professor of Marketing, SMU Northwestern University recommended to start-up projects to think about co-branding and branch-out as possible perspective ways of development.
An the last speaker shared a dream about Vietnamese coffee, branded as Vietnamo, to become in future as popular as Expresso and Americano.
