The Vietnam Fun Cup, running for over 18 years has become a key event in both the local and international windsurf community!
The Notice of Race is mailed to a multitude of countries and media outlets including windsurf and surfing magazines. For the 19th event we will be giving the competitors, both Women and Men divisions, a taste of the Vietnamese Beach Life as well as some of the strongest conditions found in South East Asia.
Jibe’s Beach Club Mui Ne will be hosting the opening ceremony and award giving celebrations and would like to extend a warm welcome to all riders, spectators, family and friends.
The high-wind Slalom racing will take place on the Mui Ne Bay for a total of two days of high level slalom racing. All official referees are from the Binh Thuan Province – Sports Department, with their extensive experience working in this event we extend warm thanks for their great support.
As with our previous Fun Cup events there will be many exciting prizes to be won with thanks to all our partners / sponsors. As is the events tradition all profits will be donated to the ‘Anh Sang Orphanage’, La Gi, Viet Nam, Binh Thuan Province.
The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing – Windsurfing Competition Rules (WCR). The Sailing Instructions will be available at the events location on the race days and by hard copy on request, during and prior to registration (as well as the ‘Event Program Schedule’ including evening social events).
The entry fee is: 50$ (Private gear) or 70$ (Jibe’s gear) or 50$ (Jibe’s gear already rented). 1st Payment shall be made in USD or VND and before the 1 of February 2018. Competitors can pay directly at the registration desk or by bank transfer.
