For attraction of visitors looking for ideas to travel during the rainy season Suphan Buri province will be celebrating the month of Mother’s Day in August with the Siam Tulip Festival. During the month of August, the Plant-Tissue Culture Centre in Suphan Buri’s U-Thong district will see its premises covered with beautiful Siam Tulips, or locally known as Dok Krachiao – a pinkish-purple flower – in bloom.
TAT press release says: “Visitors can enjoy the marvellous beauty of different species of the Siam Tulips at the field, exhibition, academic seminars, shopping for discount agricultural products, try a wide variety of local food, and shop for local products of Suphan Buri. The festival is also to encourage farmers to grow Siam Tulip as it is considered a commercial plant with potentiality for trade and export. It also aims to promote the agricultural tourism of the province”.
