Vietnam: TOP10 foreign visitors in January 2018


International visitors to Vietnam in January 2018 estimated 1,430,242 arrivals, as published by Vietnam National Administration of tourism.

In January 2018, number of international arrivals to Vietnam increase 12.1% over last month (see data for December 2017,
September 2017, October 2017, November 2017) and up 42% over the same period last year 2016.

In 12 months in 2017 total international arrivals to Vietnam reached 12,922,151 arrivals. Seems year 2018 is very promising from the very beginning.

TOP10 international arrivals by nationality to Vietnam in January 2018 looks as following:

1/ China: 418,493 visitors
2/ Korea: 316,314 visitors
3/ Russia: 74,332 visitors
4/ USA: 72,638 visitors
5/ Japan: 71,832 visitors
6/ Australia: 50,123 visitors
7/ Taiwan: 48,542 visitors
8/ Malaysia: 44,003 visitors
9/ Thailand: 32,287 visitors
10/ England: 28,449 visitors

For the first time, the leading trio of the list TOP10 International visitors to Vietnam – China, Korea, Japan – is formed out of the regional frame. Japan and Taiwan, who shared 3rd line of the list throughout 2017 are rated on 5th and 7th position respectively.

For the first time ever, Russia is listed in TOP3 International visitors to Vietnam
with 74,332 arrivals in January 2018.
